Obituary - Mr. William Jackson "Jack" Douglas of Brookhaven, MS, died Saturday, June 23, 2001, at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. A native of Dermott and a resident of Brookhaven, MS, for the past fourteen years, he was a retired Wal-Mart truck driver, a member of the Easthaven Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thad and Fedelia Stone Douglas, and a sister, Lillian Lee.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Edwards Douglas of Brookhaven, MS; two daughters, Jacky Prien and husband Paul of Dallas, TX, and Amy Greer and husband Chad of Picayune, MS; a brother, James Turner Douglas of Conway; two sisters, Virginia Douglas Teague of Dermott and Cloteene Augspurger of Orlando, FL; and two grandsons, Cody Douglas Greer and Cameron Thad Greer.
Funeral services were planned for 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Jones Funeral Home of Hamburg with the Rev. Charles Pullin, Rev. Thad Douglas, and Rev. Bendon Ginn officiating. Pallbearers were to be Dr. Jim Lee, Bill Lee, Chris and Barry Teague, Charlie and Tony Hopper. Interment will be in the Snyder Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Snyder Cemetery Association, c/o Mrs. Jane Graves, P. O. Box 264, Hamburg, AR 71646.
