James Walter Staggs, 46, of Pangburn died Sunday after a courageous battle with cancer.
Mr. Staggs was born September 5, 1962 in Newport, the son of William and Olive Lorene Hearty Staggs. He was a member of the Oak Grove Methodist Church. For more that 20 years, James was a member of the Grubbs Fire Department. He was employed for 10 years with Moore Forest Products in Kensett.
James enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He was affectionately called "Bear Tracks" and "Goat Roper".
Survivors include his wife, Suzanne Bolla Staggs; his son, William Henry Staggs; his daughter, Kadie Ann Staggs; brothers, Johnny and Roger Staggs; sister, Lucy Staggs Easley; other family, Beverly and Bill Brinneman, Michele and Brad Barnett, and Shawn and Amanda McClish.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, David Staggs.
