Nathan Willits, 88, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, died September 21, 2011, at Circle of Life Hospice, Springdale, Arkansas. Born May 9, 1923 in Haddonfield, New Jersey, he was the son of Robert P. Willits and Mary Francis Andrews Willits. He received a Phd. in soil physics and a master's degree in agriculture. Nathan was a college professor and taught agronomy at Rutgers prior to moving to Siloam Springs 19 years ago. He married Dorothy June Fields in Collingswood, New Jersey. He attended Fellowship Bible Church of Siloam Springs. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife June; and his sister, Kathleen Willits. Survivors include two sons, Stephen D. Willits and wife Kristen of Lewisburg, Pennsylvania and Mark J. Willits and wife Diane of Siloam Springs; one daughter, Joanna Mayer and husband Mark of Stockbridge, Michigan; and seven grandchildren.

Dorothy June Willits, 83 year-old resident of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, died November 26, 2005, at her home. Born June 16, 1922 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of William L. Field and Pauline E. Bailey Field. She was a Navy Veteran of World War II, serving in the Hospital Corps. She graduated with a B.A. from Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey and was a teacher. She married Nathan Andrew Willits in 1946. She was a member of Fellowship Bible Church, Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Survivors include her husband Nathan of the home; two sons, Stephen Willits and wife Kristen of Lewisburg, Pennsylvania and Mark Willits and wife Diane of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; one daughter, Joanna Mayer and husband Mark of Stockbridge, Michigan; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; one half sister, Elizabeth Barr of Interlaken, New Jersey.
