Lela Marie Pruitt, 79, of Star City, died January 15, 1996, at Gardner Nursing Home at Star City.
Born June 26, 1916, at Star City, she was a daughter of the late John and Kitty Holland Ricks.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Calvary Tabernacle Apostolic Church at Star City.
Survivors include five sons, Jerry Pruitt and David Pruitt, both of Star City, and Ralph Gates of Wichita Falls, Texas, the Rev. John L. Gates of Tulsa; two daughters, Ruby Pruitt Greenhill of Fayetteville and Shelia Pruitt of Star City; 20 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Joel and Garland Gates, and a daughter, Barbara Ann Gates.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Thursday at Calvary Tabernacle Apostolic Church at Star City with the Rev. Jack Bates officiating. Burial will be in Butler/Pleasant Hill Cemetery by Griffin Services Inc. of Star City.
