Lilly J. Massey
Star City, Ark.
Lilly J. Massey, 69, died Friday, December 5, 2003, at the home of her daughter, in Brandon.
Services are 11 a.m. today at Griffin Funeral Chapel in Star City, Ark., with Bro. Allen Hagood officiating.
Burial will be in Butler/Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Star City, Ark.
She was born January 6, 1934 in Tyro, Ark. to the late Garner and Eunice Ferguson Phillips.
She was a homemaker and a member of Holly Springs Missionary Baptist Church near Star City.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Massey of Star City; three sons, Gene Cooper of Edwards, David Cooper of Jackson, Gary Cooper of Mendenhall; one daughter, Brenda Cooper of Brandon. Other survivors include: a brother, Garner L. Phillips of Pine Bluff, Ark.; a sister, Barbara White of Laurel; eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
