Dent Watson, 75, Rt. 3, Springdale, died Jan. 3 in Springdale Memorial Hospital. Born April 4, 1900, at Swain, he was the son of J.T. and Mary Thomas Watson, a member of People's Mission Church and a retired farmer. He moved to Springdale from Mossville in 1950.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Sparks Watson of the home; six sons, Virgil Watson, Elmer Watson and Lonnie Watson, Springdale, Ray Watson and Gary Watson, Wichita, Kan., and Cecil Watson, Bellingham, Wash.; six daughters, Mrs. C.A. (Ethyleen) Johnson, Mrs. Arnold (Pearlie) Edgmon and Mrs. Sam (Freda) Howell, Wichita, Kan., Mrs. Charles (Grace) Waddell, St. Charles, Mo., Mrs. Lola Porter, Bellingham, Wash., and Mrs. Carroll (Ina) Kissinger, Conway; one brother, Otis Watson, Springdale, five sisters, Mrs. Jess (Martha) Edgmon, Mossville, Mrs. Nancy Daniels, Yakima, Wash., Mrs. Orville (Sally) Thomas, Springdale, Mrs. Roy (Vola) Edgmon, Lowell, and Mrs. Leo (Ella) Smith, Bentonville; 31 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in People's Mission Church. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery under the direction of Sisco Chapel.
