Randy Wilson Tomlinson, 53, of Horseshoe Bend, was born Feb. 4, 1951, in Melbourne, Ark., the son of Norma Jean Tomlinson and the late Ernest Don Tomlinson. He died Feb. 4, 2004, at the Community Medical Center in Calico Rock, Ark.

He was married March 25, 2001, to Jody Hasselbring.

He retired as inspector for the Arkansas Highway Department after 28 years.

He was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served in the U.S. Army.

He was a past president of Horseshoe Bend Eagles Post 4241; a member of the Moose Lodge 739; and was a member of the AARP; was an avid Cardinals fan. He was a Baptist.

He is survived by his wife, Jody, of the home; his mother, Norma Jean Tomlinson of Horseshoe Bend; two sons -- Todd Nathaniel Tomlinson of Melbourne, and Michael Miller of Franklin; one daughter and son-in-law -- Gena Mechelle and Steve Curry of Tulsa, Okla.; one grandson, Connor Austin Curry of Tulsa, Okla.; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law -- Brian and Jennifer Hasselbring of Peru, Neb.; one sister-in-law and brother-in-law -- Becky and Robin Watts of Thomaston, Ga.; two nephews -- Michael Andrew and Tyler Ardell Hasselbring of Peru, Neb.; one aunt and uncle, Bill and Tommie Lou Williams of Evening Shade; three cousins -- Connie Fore of Sidney, Brent Williams of Batesville and Kelley Williams of Evening Shade, and many dear friends and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Don Tomlinson and his grandparents.

Funeral services were Feb. 7 at the Zion Hill Baptist Church at Zion, Ark., with Bro. Larry Strope and Bro. Arthur Barber officiating.

Burial was in the Zion Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Horseshoe Bend Memorial Chapel of Horseshoe Bend.

Pallbearers were Harold Faigle, Steve Boyer, Gary Hunt, Sammie Harmon, Kelley Williams and Brent Williams.

Jody Louise Tomlinson, 46, of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., died June 29, 2004, in Horseshoe Bend.

Born June 25, 1958, in Watseka, Ill., she was the daughter of Ardell Hasselbring and Betty Miller Hasselbring. She married Randy Tomlinson March 25, 2001 in Horseshoe Bend and he preceded her in death in February 2004. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary in Horseshoe Bend. She worked as a graphic artist for the Pacesetting Times in Horseshoe Bend.

Survivors include a brother, Brian Hasselbring of Peru, Neb.; a sister, Becky Watts of Thomaston, Ga.; two nephews -- Michael and Tyler Hasselbring of Peru, Neb.; two stepsons -- Todd N. Tomlinson of Melbourne, and Michael Miller of Franklin; and a stepdaughter, Gina Mechelle Curry of Tulsa, Okla; one stepgrandson, Connor Austin Curry, and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Randy Tomlinson.

The funeral was July 2 at Horseshoe Bend Memorial Chapel with Arthur Barber officiating. Burial followed in the Zion Hill Cemetery in Zion, Ark., with arrangements under the direction of Horseshoe Bend Memorial Chapel.
