Mr. Carl D. Walker, 74, of Fayetteville passed away Friday, May 5, 2006 in Fayetteville. He was born Feb. 3, 1932, in Springdale to Virgil Raymond and Alice Belle (Brewer) Walker.

He was a former insurance agent with Farmers Insurance and a Scout executive with the Boy Scouts of America. He was a US. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict, a member of Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville, and a member of the Boy Scouts Troop No. 114.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Little John Walker and his older brother Bill Walker.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma H. Walker; two sons, Craig Walker and wife B.J. of Lowell, and Carl Dean Waller II of Fayetteville; one brother, R.C. Walker of Alma; one sister, Berdena Borem of Mountainburg; and one granddaughter, Bethany Walker of Lowell.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 7 at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m Monday, May 8, at Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville with the Rev. Bryan Fink officiating. Burial will follow in McCord Cemetery in Elkins.

Memorials may be made to the Boy Scouts of America c/o Wade Caldwell at A.G. Edwards 26 West Center St., Fayetteville, 72701.
