MASSEY, J.H. - J.H. Massey and C.W. Allison, two employees of the K.C.S. railway, who were fishing in the Illinois river north of Watts, were killed by lightning during the storm last Thursday night. It is thought the men took refuge under a large tree to escape the rain. The tree was struck by lightning, killing both men. Massey lived in Watts and leaves a wife and two children. Allison was unmarried.
