WINTERS, Elizabeth FARRIS - Elizabeth Farris was born in Tennessee March 21, 1832. When quite young she moved with her parents to Southern Missouri where she grew to womanhood and in 1859 was married to Joshua Winters. To their union were born two daughters, one of whom died in childhood, the other, Mrs. George Miser, survives. Mr. Winters departed this life in 1880 and since that time she has lived in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Miser, who have spared no pains in making her life comfortable and happy. Gifted by nature with a good constitution and cheerful disposition, she retained her faculties until the very close of life and gently passed to the Great Beyond on the 20th day of March 1920. When very young she made a profession of the Christian faith and maintained this profession to her last day upon earth. She is greatly missed in the family circle and widely extended circle of friends and acquaintances. Burial was in Buttram Chapel cemetery.
