Floyd Chitwood, 86, of Hot Springs, died April 26, 1991, at St. Joseph Hospital in Hot Springs. Mr. Chitwood was born Jan. 16, 1905, in Indian Territory, Okla., to William D. and Carrie A. Carter Chitwood.
He retired in 1970 from the Texas Production Co. in Lefors, Texas. Chitwood was a member of the Leonard Street Baptist Church in Hot Springs.
Survivors include his wife, Roxie Chitwood of Hot Springs; two daughters, Jackie Bivins of Rogers, and Anita Clemmons of Spearman, Texas; a step-son, W.L. Schopf of Fort Worth, Texas; a step-daughter, Joy Young of Sherman, Texas; a sister, Myrtle Clayton of Springdale, Texas; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren' three step-grandchildren; and two great-step-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday at Callison-Lough Funeral Chapel in Rogers by the Rev. Kevin Young. Burial was in Rogers Cemetery.
