Velma Lee Colter the daughter of Canada Lofton and Edith Opal Hyatt Patrom was born in El Paso, Arkansas on May 12, 1931 and passed away in Hot Springs, Arkansas on October 27, 2007 at the age of 76 years. Mrs. Colter was a homemaker and member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John Colter and a daughter Virginia King.
Survivors are a son Eugene Colter of Chicago, Illinois, two brothers Charles Patrom of El Paso, Arkansas and Maynard Patrom of Conway, Arkansas, three sisters Sharon Waddle of Mayflower, Arkansas, Rebecca Payne of Conway, Arkansas and Faye Kimbrough of Rome, Georgia and 4 grandchildren besides other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 29, beginning at 1:00 PM and funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at Olmstead Chapel with interment in Grissard Cemetery, El Paso, Arkansas by Olmstead Funeral Home, Inc.
