MELBOURNE — Estel Bernice Shaver Engles, 81, of Melbourne died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011, in Mountain Home.

Born Aug. 6, 1930, in Mount Pleasant, she was the daughter of Othar and Minnie Gertrude Anderson Shaver. She was united in marriage to Vernon Ray Engles on July 19, 1947. She was a homemaker and was of the Church of God faith.

Survivors include six sons, Ricky Engles and Terry Engles, both of Mount Pleasant, and Kim Engles, Danny Engles, Barry Engles and Timothy Engles, all of Melbourne; two daughters, Rhonda Engles and Beverly Guiltner, both of Melbourne; a sister, Linda Moser of Mount Pleasant; 13 grandchildren: Jessica Engles, Amanda Engles, Jason Engles and Kayla McGraw, all of Mount Pleasant, Crystal Foster of Floral, Michael Engles of Highland, Brent Engles, Regina Engles, Anthony Guiltner, Jonathan Guiltner and Joel Guiltner, all of Melbourne, Kris Engles of Guion and Stephanie Cotter of Bakersville, Mo.; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, John Shaver; and a sister, Veola Henderson.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Howard Memorial Funeral Chapel in Melbourne. Burial will be in Reeves Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Engles, Terry Engles, Kim Engles, Danny Engles, Barry Engles and Timothy Engles.

Honorary pallbearers are her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
