Goldie Constant Edington, 88, of Guion, Ark., died Sept. 22, 2003.Survivors include three children -- Dorothy Lovelady of Guion; a son and daughter-in-law, William and Nora Edington of Wiseman, Ark.; and a daughter and son-in-law, Velda and Larry Garner of Sage, Ark; six grandchildren -- Rickie Pittman of Guion, Kaye Williams of Pleasant Plains, Ark., Cindy Hall of Calico Rock, Ark., Karl Garner of Wynne, Ark., Sandy Whitney of Springfield, Mo., and Sonya Balger of Okeona, Ohio; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters --Faye Burgess of Wenatchee, Wash., and Inez Long of Dry Den, Wash; and a sister-in-law, Ethel Lovelady of Guion, Ark.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Edington; a daughter, Nelta Royce Edington; her father, Alvin Constant; her mother, Tommie Constant; four sisters -- Ruby Condrey, Ollie Burgess, Jessmine Hancock and Thelma Moser; a brother Stanley Constant; and a son-in-law, Borden Lovelady.
The funeral was Sept. 24 at Guion Free Pentecostal Church with Rick Engles, Silas Lucas and Raymond Owens officiating. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home of Melbourne, Ark. Pallbearers were Larry Garner, Lynn Pittman, Karl Garner, Trevor Pittman, Nicholas Bray and Mike Hall. Honorary pallbearers were Randy Engles, Don Williams, Don Whitney, Brian Balger, Eldred Burgess and Glen Hicks.
