Bud L. Chapman, 69. of 429 North 16th Street, Van Buren, Arkansas died Monday, January 3, 1983 at a Fort Smith, Arkansas hospital.

Retired after 42 years with Arkhola Sand and Gravel Co., he was a member of the First Baptist Church and Van Buren Masonic Lodge with a 32nd degree and a Navy veteran of World War II.

Funeral was held at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, with Rev. Stanley Daniel and Rev. Bobby Johnson officiating. Burial was in Hall Cemetery at Natural Dam, with arrangements by Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home.

Survivors were his wife, Eva; (now deceased) two daughters, Carolyn Rose of Charleston and JoAnn of Van Buren; four sons, Marion L. (Dave) of Van Buren, Charles E. of Alma, Larry W. of Fort Smith and James W. of Garland, Texas; two sisters, Serena of Fort Smith and Katy of Texarkana; and two brothers.

Mrs. Eva T. Chapman, 77, of Van Buren, Arkansas died Sunday, June 12, 1994, at a Fort Smith, Arkansas hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Van Buren and Order of Eastern Star, Fidelity Chapter No. 86. She was the widow of Bud L. Chapman.

Survivors include; two daughters; four sons; one sister; three brothers; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was held Tuesday at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was at Hall Cemetery at Natural Dam.
