Emmett Edward Starkey, 84, Fayetteville, died Jan. 30 in a Fayetteville hospital. Born Nov. 24, 1892, at Norwood, Mo., he was the son of William and Viola Sanders Starkey, a member of the Pentecostal Church and a retired employe of Pacific Gas and Electric Co., Monterey, Calif.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lillie Gregory Starkey of the home; one son, William Starkey, Galt, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Pauline) Hattabaugh, Elkins; one brother, Raymond Starkey, Minco, Okla.; one sister, Mrs. Ella Lumpkin, Tuttle, Okla.; nine grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Pentecostal Temple, Fayetteville, with the Rev. Otha Tackett officiating. Burial will be in McCord Cemetery, Elkins, under the direction of Moore's Chapel of Fayetteville.

Pallbearers will be Billy Hattabaugh, Alvin Hattabaugh, Dean Hattabaugh, Juan Hattabaugh, Arthur Hattabaugh and Howard Fields.

Mrs. Lillie Iva Starkey, 83, Rt. 2, Elkins, died Aug. 12 in City Hospital, Fayetteville. Born March 28, 1895, in Poteau, Okla., she was the daughter of Wiley and Susie Sledge Gregory. She was the wife of the late Emmett Edward Starkey, who preceded her in death Jan. 30, 1977. She was a member of Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include a son, William Starkey of Galt, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Pauline Hattabaugh of Elkins; a brother, Robert Gregory of Talihina, Okla.; nine grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Pentecostal Temple, Huntsville Street, Fayetteville, with the Rev. Otha Tackett officiating. Burial will be in McCord Cemetery, Elkins, under direction of Moore's Chapel.

Pallbearers will be Danny Fields, Billy, Alvin, Dan and Juan Hattabaugh and Howard Fields.
