Orbin Gerald Dry, 56, of Batesville died Wednesday, April 8, 2009, in Little Rock.
Born June 11, 1952, in Brinkley, he was the son of Orbin Allison Dry and Jewel Clark Dry. He was employed at the University of Arkansas Experiment Station in Batesville as an agriculture farm technician.
Survivors include a son, Jerry Dry of St. Robert, Mo.; two daughters, Kathey Spence of Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., and Tamra Engles of Ash Flat; his mother of Melbourne; three brothers, Allison Dry, Robert Dry and Merlin Dry, all of Melbourne; a sister, Regina Payton of Melbourne; and seven grandchildren, Devon Engles, Gracie Engles, River Engles, Zachary Engles, Dustin Martin, Braxton Martin and Rachel Martin.
He was preceded in death by his father.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Howard Memorial Chapel in Melbourne with Michael Engles officiating. Burial will be in Reeves Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
Pallbearers will be Robert Dry, Robert Payton, Jerry Dry, Bobie Hensley, Danny Engles and Joe Boshears.
Honorary Pallbearers are Kathey Spence and Isaac Williams Jr.
