White River Currant
J. E. Dale of LaCrosse, son of the late Olen Cecil and Robbie Spence Dale, was born April 7, 1938 in La Crosse. He died March 11, 1997. He was 58.
Mr Dale was a manager for Synergy Gas Company; president of the Melbourne School Board and a member of the Melbourne School Board for the past ten years. He was a member of the Melbourne Community Church and an Army veteran.
Survivors include one son, Brent Dale of Melbourne; two daughters, Stacy Dale of LaCrosse; and Tracy McLaughlin of Violet Hill; one brother, C. W. Dale of Muleshoe, Texas; two sisters, Vona Moser of East Wenatchee, Washington and Jean Tegarden of Sunnyside, Washington; one grandson, Kyler Dale McLaughlin and a very special friend Anita Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Pamela Dale.
Funeral services were held March 14, 1997 at the Melbourne Community Church with Reverend Hoover Lewis officiating.
Pallbearers were Eudell Smith, Jim Haley, Glen Billingsley, Sonny Brooks, Arnold Harris and Kenny Morrison. Honorary pallbearers were employees of Synergy Gas Company.
Interment was at Reeves Cemetery near Guion under the direction of Crouch Funeral Home in Melbourne.
