Alvis Cheyenne Carter, 61, of Gallatin, Tennessee died on Wednesday, February 20, 2008.
He was born November 6, 1946 in Marion, Indiana; the son of Alvis S. and Olive (Davis) Carter.
He was a retired shoe factory worker and a U.S. Army veteran of the Viet Nam War.
Alvis is survived by his wife, Carolyn Carter of Tennessee; daughter, Latishia Malloy of Texas; son, Chey Carter of Arkansas; mother, Olive Carter of Tennessee, brother, John Carter of Tennessee; sisters: Mary Brooks of Tennessee, Susie Scholes of Tennessee, Elaine Harris of Indiana, Joyce Harland of Kentucky and Cordielee Sinclaire of Tennessee; and other extended family.
Graveside services will be at 1 PM Saturday at Reeves-Pine Grove Cemetery in Guion under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Melbourne.
