Willene Campbell Lindsey of Calico Rock, Arkansas
Willene Campbell Lindsey, daughter of the late William Barnett Campbell and Nancy Elizabeth Calloway Campbell, was born May 4, 1921 in Diamond Springs, Arkansas. She departed this life March 21, 2013 in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 91 years, 10 months and 17 days. She was united in marriage to Emmett Dean Lindsey on May 10, 1941 in Pineville, Arkansas and to this union two sons were born. She spent her life as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, homemaker and friend. She was of the Methodist faith and a member of Spring Creek Methodist Church in Calico Rock.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: L A and Deloris Lindsey of Cherokee Village; one sister: Hazel Laws of Calico Rock; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 62 years: Emmett Lindsey; one son: William Dean Lindsey; one brother: Walter Campbell and one sister: Hester Johnson.
Funeral service will be Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Calico Rock Funeral Chapel with Mike Smith, Paul Seay and Dr. Robert Lane officiating. Burial will be at Spring Creek Cemetery under the direction of Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock. Visitation will be Friday, March 22 from 6-8 p.m.
