Obituary- Mrs. Beulah Oswalt Moyers, 92, of Snyder died Friday, April 1, 2005, at the Beverly Health Care Center in Crossett. Mrs. Moyers was a native of Morton, MS, and a resident of Snyder for the past 70 years. She attended the Mississippi State Hospital for Nursing. She was a homemaker, a member of the Sardis Baptist Church and a member of the Eastern Star, Delta Chapter #571 for over 50 years.
She is survived by two sons, Danny Moyers of Crossett and Tommy Moyers of Portland; a special brother-in-law, A. P. Moyers of Snyder; five grandsons, two granddaughters and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, T. E. Moyers in 2002; her parents, Zebulon and Ina Gertrude Pickle Oswalt, three brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m., Sunday, April 3, in the chapel of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home with Rev. Houston Austin officiating. Burial followed services at the Snyder Cemetery. Pallbearers were George, Bill, Trey, Greg, Michael, Matthew and Damion Moyers, Emory Austin, and Alan and Jerrad Bickford. Honorary pallbearers were O.L. Swain, Jackie Nelms, David Moyers, Ernest Oswalt, Haskel Lee, Buddy Barnes, and Johnny Hall. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home of Hamburg. Memorials may be made to the Snyder Cemetery Association, c/o Mrs. Jane Graves, PO Box 264, Hamburg, AR 71646.



Parents of Danny & Tommy

Mr. T. E. Moyers, Sr., 88, of Snyder died Friday, March 15, 2002, at the Ashley County Medical Center in Crossett. Mr. Moyers was a native of Morton, MS, and a resident of the Snyder Community East of Hamburg for over 60 years. He was a retired logging & pulpwood contractor, and he owned Moyers Brothers Manufacturing, Fabricating & Machine Shop. He was a member and deacon of the Sardis Baptist Church, a member of the Portland Masonic Lodge #499 for over 50 years and served as the Lodge recorder for 43 years. He served on the board of directors of Ashley Chicot Electric Co-op. for 33 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hulon & Rosia Herring Moyers and a brother, H. C. "Doc" Moyers
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Beulah Oswalt Moyers of Snyder; two sons, Danny Moyers of Crossett & Tommy Moyers of Portland; a brother, A. P. Moyers of Snyder; four grandsons; one granddaughter and nine great-grandchildren
Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 17, in the chapel of Jones Funeral Home of Hamburg with Rev. E. W. Ricks officiating. Pallbearers are George, Bill, Trey, Greg, Michel, Matthew & Damion Moyers, Alan & Jerrad Bickford and Nick Austin. Honorary pallbearers were Emory Austin, O. L . Swaim, Johnny Hall, Jim Barker, David Moyers & the members of the Portland Masonic Lodge #499. Burial followed services at the Snyder Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Hamburg.
