Ward T. McWhorter, 73, 617 Prairie Creek, Rogers, died Oct. 23 in Rogers Memorial Hospital. Born July 15, 1901 in Burt, Iowa, he was the son of Leroy and Ethel Barrett McWhorter and a member of Central United Methodist Church. He moved to Rogers from Iowa in 1935 and was manager of registered hereford cattle ranches. He founded Ozark Supply Co. in 1947.

Survivors include one son, C.W. (Jim) McWhorter, Rogers; three daughters, Mrs. Nancy Doughty, Moorestown, N.J., Mrs. Sandra Daughters, Taos, N.M., and Mrs. Lynn Mabry, Bentonville; one sister, Mrs. Rowena Royerson, Burt, Iowa, and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in Callison Chapel, Rogers, with the Rev. William P. Connell officiating. Burial will be in Rogers gernetery under the direction of Callison.

Rogers — Mrs. Gladys Clayton McWhorter, 68, of Rogers, died Saturday in the Rogers hospital. Born June 29, 1904 in Alvin, Iowa, she was a Methodist.

Survivors are the husband, W.T. McWhorter of the home; one son, C. W. (Jim.) of Rogers; three daughters, Mrs. Nancy Doughty of Moorestown, N.J., Mrs. Sandra Daughters of Taos, N.M. and Mrs. Lynn Mabry, of Bentonville; her step-mother, Mrs. Alice Clayton of Altoona, Iowa; one brother, Carroll Clayton of Rogers; one sister, Mrs. Rachel Styles of Bakersfield, Calif.; one half-sister, Mrs. Gene Roethler of Livermore, Iowa and five grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Callison Chapel with burial in Rogers Cemetery.
