CULLMAN, Ala. — Margaret Mae Browning Friend, 71, of Cullman died Oct 1, 2005, at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, Tenn. She was born April 28, 1934, in Siloam Springs to Willis Ivel and Noma Ann Thomason Browning. She was manager of the Book Shelf in Cullman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Smithie Friend, in 1992 and two sons, Ronald James Friend and Michael Scott Friend.
Survivors include one daughter, Peggy Friend of Cullman; one sister, Noma Jean West of Clute, Texas; one nephew, Terry West of Clute; three nieces, Linda Gassell of Richwood, Texas, Carolyn Jones of Gentry and Marilyn Turner of Siloam Springs.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Siloam Springs with Mike Whorton officiating.
