Obituary- Mrs. Jessie O. Gee, 86, of Crossett, died Sunday, June 24, 2001, at the Beverly Health Care Center in Hamburg. A native of Ashley County; a resident of Crossett for the past 25 years and a former resident of Hamburg and the Mount Pleasant Community east of Hamburg for many years, she was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Crossett. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter P. Gee in 1966, a son, Homer Gee in 1999, her parents, Homer & Margaret King Howie and two sisters.
She is survived by three daughters, Patsy Scranton of Hamburg; Mary Gee of Crossett and Sarah Richardson of Hamburg; a sister, Genie Brown of Jackson, MS; a daughter-in-law, Heidi Gee of Fayetteville, NC; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral services are planned for 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 27, in the Fellowship Baptist Church in Snyder with Revs. Eugene Howie and Charles Pullin & Dr. William Henry officiating. Grandsons will be pallbearers. Interment will be in the Snyder Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Hamburg.
