Melvin D. Kirk, 83, Neosho, died July 8, 2012 at Freeman Neosho Hospital, following a short illness. Mr. Kirk was born Jan. 12, 1929 in Gentry, AR. He moved to Neosho in 1960 from Siloam Springs, AR and owned and operated Kirk's Machining Company until 1985. He attended Abundant Life Assembly of God Church. Melvin married Eloise Rowland on July 29, 1949 in Tulsa, OK and she survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Linda Turnbow and husband, Darrel, Carthage and Melvin Kirk, Jr. and wife, Cindy, Stark City; three grandchildren, Dustin Turnbow, Carthage, Jonathan Kirk, Sanford, NC and Melanie Eads, West VA and six great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by an infant son, Dale Edward Kirk and his parents.
