Loyd Cleyon Salyards, son of the late Albert Theo (A.T.) And Sarah Booth Salyards, was born January 13, 1917 at Keota, OK. Died June 29, 2009 at the age of 92 years.
He is preceded in death by wife Irene Salyards, infant son, grandson Steve Salyards, daughter-in-law Luerecia Salyards, Brothers; Theo & Darrell Salyards, sisters; Geneva Gipson & Edith Craigmyle.
She is survived by 3 sons; Don Salyards and wife, Jackie of Pocahontas. Dallas Salyards and wife Betty of San Angelo, TX. & Jimmy Salyards of Reyno. 4 daughters; Mary Colletta and husband, Bob of Fallbrook, CA. Glenda Thornberry and husband, David of Fayetteville. Phyllis Davis and husband, Michael of Pocahontas. Teresa Kirkland and husband, Michael of Siloam Springs. Grandchildren; Veronica Shrum, Alan Lee, Mike Salyards, Alan Salyards, Becky Geffers, Sheryl Colletta, Errol Mooney, Jr., Michelle Greene, Patti Williams, Anthony Thornberry, Jeffrey Thornberry, Shelly Gann, Cindi Coates, Amy Allen, Blake McGinnis, Stephen Kirkland, Spencer Kirkland, and Whitney Kirkland. Sister, Goldie Mabrey and husband, of St. Louis. 36 great grandchildren 2 great great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Service will be held Friday, July 3, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home. Burial will follow to Masonic Cemetery with Bill Gray, Jerry Cochran, and Rick Hart officiating.
Pallbearers include: Anthony Thornberry, Errol Mooney, Jr., Mike Salyards, Alan Salyards, Rick Shrum, Stephen Kirkland, Blake McGinnis, Spencer Kirkland, and Jeff Thornberry.

Irene Salyards, 89, died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007.
She is survived by her husband, Loyd Salyards; three sons, Don Salyards of Pocahontas, Dallas Salyards of San Angelo, Texas, and Jimmy Salyards of Reyno; four daughters, Mary Colletta of Fallbrook, Calif., Glenda Thornberry of Fayetteville, Phyllis Davis of Pocahontas and Teresa Kirkland of Siloam Springs; 17 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with Bill Gray and Jerry Cochran officiating. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery.
