*Obituary

Roy M. Baumann, son of the late Roger Mills and Leaoma Chloe Hamilton Baumann, was born May 10, 1921, in Dallas, Texas. He departed this life on Nov. 24, 2004, near Mt. Pleasant at the age of 83 years.
He was united in marriage to Mary Jane Brons on Sept. 16, 1944, in Seattle, Wash. To this union two sons were born.
He had a long and distinguished career in the United States Air Force, serving during World War II, Korea and Vietnam Wars. He was honorably discharged after attaining the rank of master sergeant. He was a member of the Batesville VFW.
He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Midway Baptist Church in Melbourne.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Mary Jane Baumann of the home; one son and daughter-in-law -- Ken and Sue Baumann of Mount Pleasant; one sister, Newana Keith of Valleyjo, Calif.; one brother, Morris Baumann of Vallejo, Calif.; two grandchildren -- Kimberlie Madera and Christopher Hatman; four great-grandchildren -- Joshua Madera, Christopher Madera, Kayla Madera and Noah Hatman; numerous neices and nephews; and a host of other relatives and many good friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Raymond Allen Baumann.
Burial followed at Reeves Cemetery.
