SALESVILLE — Finis Edward “Ed” Jeffery, 80, of Salesville, formerly of Batesville, died Monday, Feb. 22, 2010, in a Mountain Home hospital.
He was born Aug. 9, 1929, in Mount Olive. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1948 to 1952 and was a Korean War veteran. He was very patriotic. He retired from Santa Fe Trailways after 25 years and later worked as a contractor in Batesville, allowing him to continue doing woodworking. He enjoyed fishing, especially at Lake Norfork, hunting, the outdoors and the Mountain Home and northern Arkansas area.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Jeffery; two sons, Thomas “Tom” Jeffery and Robert “Bob” Jeffery; a daughter; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Hubert Jeffery and Richard Jeffery; and a sister, Betty Patterson.
Funeral service arrangements will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home in Mountain Home.
