Mrs. Ethel Mead Thomas, 86, of Siloam Springs, died Nov. 1, in a Siloam Springs nursing home. Born Nov. 26, 1892, at Siloam Springs, she was the daughter of George W. and Ella Mae Walker Mead and was a member of First Baptist Church. She was a retired nurse and worked for many years at Siloam Spririgs Memorial Hospital. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Betty Sculley of Siloam Springs and Mrs. Phyllis Henry of Sand Springs, Okla.; one brother, George Mead of Spokane, Wash.; and one sister, Mrs. Margaret Dean of Seattle, Wash.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were at 10 a.m. Saturday in the memorial chapel of Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, with the Rev. Bill Henry officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
