Geneva Mae Smith, age 71, of Vilonia, Arkansas passed away February 27, 2008 at Conway Regional Health System. Born April 27, 1936 in Ida, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Evalee Philamlee Bufford and Albert Bufford. She was a member of the Liberty Church of the Nazarene.

Geneva was a homemaker and enjoyed painting, gardening, crocheting, fishing and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Smith of Vilonia whom she married 54 years ago; two daughters, Connie Rankin of Vilonia and Carolyn Kennedy and husband Dwayne of Greenbrier; two sons, Alfred Smith and wife Dee Dee and Kenny Smith and wife Shelia both of Vilonia; three brothers, Henry Bufford and wife Delois of Ida, Adist Bufford of Ida, Ernest Bufford and wife Ruth of Fountain City, Indiana; one sister, Loveita Armstrong and husband Vester of Concord, Arkansas; eight grandchildren, Jeremy Kennedy and wife Amanda, Dustin Smith and wife Jessica, Arica Thomas and husband Drew, Alicia Evatt and husband Michael, Amanda Sanson and husband Kevin, Kyle Smith, Staci Smith and Candi Kennedy and husband Jay; seven great-grandchildren, Mattison Smith, Cali Kennedy, Alexander Kennedy, Ashton Thomas, Kayleigh Thomas, Logan Lloyd and Lane Lloyd.

Pallbearers are Kyle Smith, Dustin Smith, Jeremy Kennedy, Jay McVay, Drew Thomas, Michael Lloyd, Kevin Sanson and Ricky Bufford.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 pm, Friday, February 29, 2008 at Heber Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, March 1, 2008 at the funeral home with Rev. Jim Sanders, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Center Chapel Cemetery near Wilburn, Arkansas.
