Graveside services for Bob L. Jenks, 81, of Pryor will be held on Monday, June 20 at 10:00 AM at Oak Hill Cemetery in Siloam Springs. A family visitation is scheduled for Saturday, June 18 from 4-6 PM at Key Funeral Home in Pryor. Services are under the direction of Key Funeral Home in Pryor.
Bobby Lee Jenks was born on November 28, 1929 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, the only child of, Roy Allen and Velma Edna Louise (Ingersol) Jenks. He passed away on June 16 in Tulsa. Bobby grew up and attended school in Colcord. He graduated from Colcord High School in 1945. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1948 and served 4 years. He was stationed in Georgia, London and in Florida during his enlistment. During his time in Florida, he met Geneva Geraldine Williams and they were married on January 3, 1953 in Mississippi. They had 3 children together and made their home for many years in Siloam Springs. In 1976, they bought the Tom's Distributorship in Pryor then moved to Pryor in 1978 and have owned and operated, what is now Jenks Distributing, ever since.
Survivors include:
1 Son- Robert Jenks of Pryor
2 Daughters- Bonnie Moore and husband Don of Pryor
Sue Brookshire and husband Tony of Siloam Springs, Arkansas
9 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Geneva Geraldine in 1997.
