Mrs. Lucille Browne Johnson, 75, Bentonville, died Monday evening at Bates Memorial Hospital. She was born June 11, 1899, at Pea Ridge.
A lifetime resident of the area, she moved to Bentonville at the age of six, she was employed as a secretary in the insurance field in downtown Bentonville for the last 55 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bentonvile where she was secretary, treasurer and head of the nursery department for over 40 years.
She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Gus Owen of Bentonville, and Mrs. Clinton Thomson of Siloam Springs.
Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Thursday at the Callison and McKinney Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Winfred Bridges officiating. Burial will be in the Bentonville Cemetery.
