CRITTENDEN, Eliza Katherine WILSON - The death of Mrs. Eliza Crittenden, 80 years old, occurred at her home next to that of her son, John, in Bentonville on Tuesday morning at about 1:30 o'clock following a week's illness. The funeral services will be held at the home on West D Street on Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. Stephen A. Morton, pastor of the Christian church. Burial will be made in the City Cemetery following the services. Mrs. Crittenden's maiden name was Eliza Katherine Wilson. She was born in the state of Tennessee January 16, 1846. In this same state she grew up and in 1865 she married Jasper N. Crittenden. To them were born six children, only one of whom is living. About 43 years ago her family came to Benton county, settling near Garfield. They later moved to the Indian territory. They removed to Gravette and about 20 years ago they came to Bentonville where she had lived since that time. Mr. Crittenden died in 1910. Mrs. Crittenden was living alone and had been ill for only a few days. Mr. and Mrs. John Crittenden, her granddaughter, Mrs. Dessa Land, her grandson, Theodore Crittenden and a great grandchild are the only relatives who survive her.
