FAYETTEVILLE — Lynne Colby George King, 59, of Fayetteville died Aug. 26, 2006, at her home. She was born in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., to Elfriede and Stephen George.

She grew up in south Florida before moving to Pensacola for her nursing education at Sacred Heart School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse for the U.S. Army Nursing Corps and in Florida, Alabama, Louisiana, and Arkansas. Lynne earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Arkansas. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Prairie Grove.

Survivors include her husband of 36 years, John E. King; two sons, Michael King, of Atlanta and David King and wife Seleste of Tulsa, Okla.; four grandchildren, Connor, Meiah, Colby, and Mason; her parents of Los Frescos, Texas; two brothers, Raymond George of Arlington, Va., Stephen George Jr. of South Carolina.

Memorial services will be at 4 p.m Tuesday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Fayetteville.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the First Presbyterian Church of Prairie Grove with family present.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Luginbuel Funeral Home of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, online at www.luginbuel.com.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ozark Guidance Foundation, the University of Arkansas School of Social Work, the First Presbyterian Church of Prairie Grove or a favorite charity.
