SILOAM SPRINGS -- Hollis Gerald Scarbrough, 73, of Siloam Springs died March 12, 2007, at his home. He was born Oct. 23, 1933, in Marietta, Okla., to Lonnie Oliver and Wilma Elizabeth Brandon Scarbrough. He was former owner of Mid-America Cabinets, Scarbrough Ford and Mercury, Scarbrough Ford Tractor and Equipment Co. and was a land developer and contractor for Dawn Hill Estates, River Ridge Estates and Sager Creek Addition. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. He married Alice Elva Stirling, on April 5, 1952. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing. He led many mission projects including public school evangelism in Russia and the building of schools and churches in the United States, England, Ireland, Australia and well as Indonesia.

Survivors include his wife, Alice; two sons, Michael Scarbrough, M.D. of Tacoma, Wash., and Daniel Scarbrough of Rogers; two daughters, Cindy Becker and husband Richard, D.O. of Rockwall, Texas, and Jennifer Sample and husband Robert of Siloam Springs; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Gentry Seventh-day Adventist Church with Glenn Hill officiating.

Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bibles for Africa, c/o Remnant Publications, 649 E. Chicago Road, Coldwater, Mich. 49036."
