Siloam Springs - Dr. Joseph E. Mickel, 79, of Siloam Springs, died Tuesday night in Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital. Born Jan. 10, 1893, in Lowell, he spent most of his life in Siloam Springs. He was a retired veterinarian and a member of the First Baptist Church of Siloam Springs.
Suivivors include the widow, Mrs. Sadie Mickel of the home; two sons, Harold of Seattle, Wash., and Donald E. of Siloam Springs; two daughters, Mrs. Maxine Davis and Mrs. Betty Murphy, both of Siloam Springs; three brothers, Oral of Leoli, Kan., Herbert of Garden City, Kan., and Roy of Rogers; two sisters, Mrs. Dormal Steinfeld and Miss Letha Mickel, both of Bentonville; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery under direction of Wasson Funeral Home. Place of the service will be announced.
