ACCIDENTALLY KILLED
On last Saturday, December 13 1913 the little 8 year old son of Mr and Mrs J B Ingram of Prairie Grove neighborhood, was accidentally shot and killed.
The circumstances as we learn them are< The little brothers, Ervin and Quitman were playing out in the woods-lot, and their dog jumped a rabbit; the little boys ran to the house and persuaded their mother to let them have gun, a 22 rifle to kill the rabbit; mother refused, but while she was bust with the house hold duties the boys picked the gun up and went to persuit of the game. On returning to the house only a few rods distant, the gun which was tricky went off, and the ball struck little Quitman who was walking beside the elder brother, Ervin, in the heart and he died almost instantly. This is indeed a sad case of death, but we frequently read about. Parents can't be too careful about leaving guns around where children can get them. We indeed sympathize with the bereaved parents.
