FEATHERSTON, Sarah M. CROSS - Mrs. Sarah Featherston, aged 77 years, died last Friday at 2:40 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Meddie Harris, at Joplin. She was the wife of the late John B. Featherston, formerly of Bentonville. Death was due to complications. The body was brought here for burial in the City Cemetery. Funeral services were conducted at the grave by the Rev. T.J. Justice, pastor of the Centerton and Gravette M.E. churches. She is survived by four daughters: Mrs. Harris of Joplin; Mrs. Myrtle Hill, Vancouver, Wash.; Mrs. Cora Wampler and Mrs. Bessie Grady of Portland, Ore.; two sons, Milton Featherston of Centerton and Charles Featherston of Joplin; also by 14 grandchildren.

Sarah M. Cross Featherston died on February 3rd, 1928 at her home and was buried in Bentonville last Sunday, February 5th. She was born on May 28th, 1850 and was married to John B. Featherston on January 15th, 1871. To this union nine children were born - Mrs. Harris of Joplin, Mo.; Charley Featherston of Joplin; Mrs. Wampler and Mrs. Grady of Portland, Oregon; Mrs. Hill of Vancouver, Washington and Milton Featherston of Centerton.
