Rhodes E. Aufderheide, 73, of Rogers died Monday in Rogers. He was born Nov. 2, 1906 in Rogers.

He was a member of First Christian Church and was a retired postal employee, a World War II veteran and a lifetime resident of Rogers.

He is survived by his wife, Emily Aufderheide of the home; one step-son, John Talbutt of Amarillo, Tex., one step-daughter, Mrs. Jim (Valerie) Womack of Las Cruces, N.M.; one brother Charles A. Aufderheide of San Jose, Calif.; one half-brother, Jimmy Aufderheide of San Angelo, Tex.; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at First Christian Church of Rogers. The Rev. Howard L. Cupp will officiate. Burial will be in Rogers Cemetery. Memorials may be to First Christian Church of Rogers. Arrangements under the direction of Callison-Lough Funeral Home.
