Glenda Sue Stewart Howard

Glenda Sue Stewart Howard, 65, of Mount Pleasant passed away at her home on Wednesday, March 22, 2006. She was born on February 13, 1941 in Deport, Texas and was the daughter of Ervy Leon Stewart and Mary Marie (Smith) Stewart.

Glenda was a retired receptionist from Arkla Gas Company and was a member of the Mount Pleasant Southern Baptist Church.

She is survived by her parents; her husband, Herchel Granville Howard of Mount Pleasant; a son, Douglas Shane Howard and a daughter, Kobie Kay Edwards both of Mount Pleasant. Her six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive her.

Other survivors include her brothers: Lyndel Stewart of Woodstock, Illinois and Steve Stewart of Mount Pleasant and her sister, Sharon Engle of Arlington, Texas. Pallbearers will be Jim Hooper, Jake Hooper, Nicholas Howard, Scott Gurke, Adam Howard and Mike Stewart.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Fulbright and Larry Garner.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the Southern Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant with Bruce Qualls officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Interment will be at the Barren Fork Cemetery in Mount Pleasant under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Melbourne.
