*Obituary
Olmstead Funeral Home

Wade was born in Higden, Arkansas, on June 13, 1942 to the late William Woodrow and Norma Ruth (Potter) Bradford. He spent his entire life in Higden except while serving with the 172nd National Guard when the Company was called for active duty and sent to Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, during the Cuban Crisis.
He attended grade school at Higden until it was consolidated into the West Side School District where he graduated in 1960.

On June 3, 1961, he married Deen Cullum with whom he had 48 wonderful years.

Wade started his career in the automobile and parts business spanning over 44 years, starting in 1965 with Cleburne County Motors at the service department and later promoted to parts manager until he and his brother, Larry, purchased the business in 1980. In 1987, they opened the AAA Parts which Wade managed and operated until his untimely death on December 7, 2009. He operated the business with the highest integrity and honesty. He was known to help anyone solve problems with their vehicles and what part they needed. He had parts numbers in his mind better than any modern day computer.

His favorite hobby and past time was bluegrass music, whether listening to it or sitting around jamming with friends. He first took part in a band known as the Good Guys, and afterwards every Friday night for several years, he jammed with friends at the Eglantine Little Opry. He was part of the Higden City Limits which played monthly at the Senior Citizen Center in Heber Springs.

He is survived by his wife, Deen; one brother, Larry (Linda) Bradford of Heber Springs; three sisters, Laverne (Lefty) James of Heber Springs, JoAnn Bradford of Rogers, AR, and Mary Lee Turney of Higden, AR; sister-in-law, Joyce Bradford of Eglantine; brother-in-law, Greg Cullum; mother-in-law, Lucille Cullum; and two uncles, John Aday Bradford of Damascus and Howard Lee Potter of Edgemont, AR. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 9, 2009, at Olmstead Funeral Home Chapel from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., and the funeral services will be at the Eglantine Church of Christ on Thursday, December 10, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. with burial following in the Eglantine Cemetery with John Carey officiating the service.

Pallbearers are Steve James, Terry Turney, David Garrett, Tim Caldwell, Chris Bradford, and Clint Cullum. Honorary pallbearers are Hershell Caldwell, Jerry Hughes, Donnie Stringfellow, Don Wooten, Greg Cullum, and Durrel James.
