James L. (Noot) Lacy the son of Jesse Franklin and Dovie Lee (Higgs) Rackley Lacy was born in Ida, Arkansas on June 9, 1936 and passed away Saturday, April 14, 2007 at Baptist Health in Heber Springs at the age of 70 Years. He was a self employed truck driver who lived most of his life in Cleburne County. A veteran of the United States Army and a board member of the Magness Cemetery Association for 12 years.

Mr. Lacy enjoyed fishing and camping. He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse F. Lacy, his father in law Johnny Rackley and a brother Bob Lacy. Survivors are his wife Nellie (Hayes) Lacy, his mother Dovie Rackley of Drasco, children Eddie Lacy and wife Susan of Heber Springs, Brenda Sanders and husband Kenny of Heber Springs, Sherry Hopper and husband Steve of Tennessee, Janet Skinner and husband Martin of Heber Springs, Patrick Lacy of Heber Springs, brothers Thomas Lacy, Edward Rackley and Danny Rackley all of Heber Springs and sisters Barbara Webb of Drasco and Sue Glenn of Wilburn, He was also survived by 11 grandchildren and many friends.

Visitation was held Sunday, April 15, 2007 at Olmstead Funeral Home and services were Monday, April 16, at 2:00 P.M. in Olmstead Chapel by Rev. Samuel Wildmon with interment in Magness Cemetery. Pallbearers were Kenneth Rackley, Shawn Webb, Rob Hayes, Johnny Clay Rackley, Jerry Hayes and Michael Webb. Honorary Pallbearer was Bobby Lacy.
