"Tony" migrated from Bagnacavallo, Italy in 1920 with his wife Celsa (Chelsa), and his younger brother, Balilla Montanari Taroni. His uncle, Francesco Montanari, needed help in his cafe. They settled in Texarkana, Miller County, Arkansas. Ettore became the owner of the Pelican Liquor Store on State line in Texarkana, Miller County, Arkansas.
They then moved to Gurdon, Clark County, Arkansas where he owned the Ben Franklin store.
"Tony" died in auto accident at their residence in Gurdon.
He served in the Arditi del Popolo (People's Squad) in WWI. In world War II it was labeled as Garibaldi's Italian Army Death Squad. This was the Italian resistance movement against the fascist in WWI. He went back to Italy after WWII to get his wife's brother, Colonel Adolfo Saccomandi,out of an Allied Forces prison. Colonel Saccmondi served with General's Muti and Messe. They were supporters of the Allied Forces. Colonel John Mayo, helped to gain the release of Colonel Saccomandi, they were life long friends.
