The McElmurry Family has a number of family members buried in a family plot. This large gravestone with just the surname inscribed on it proclaims the area as the McElmurry Family plot. The individual graves are then marked with small gravestones with only the name and dates, and many of these smaller gravestones don't have the surname included. As a result, it is necessary to view this family marker to realize the surname for most of the individual graves.
