Altha ‘Slim' Wallis, age 93, of Searcy died Wednesday, March 23, 2005. She was born January 11, 1912 in Romance, Arkansas to Guy and Hattie McKay Gray. She is survived by two sons, Jimmy Tom Wallis and his wife Becky of Searcy and Hawell Wayne Wallis and his wife Theda of Rogue River, Oregon; one sister, Bobbie Hannold of Marshall, Texas; three nieces, Bobbie Roberts and her husband Bob of Longview, Texas, Reba Nell Post of Romance, Arkansas, and Mary Jo Gunter and her husband Carl of North Little Rock, Arkansas along with a host of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Ivan Wright and her husband John Tom Wallis; her parents Guy and Hattie Gray; one daughter, Robbie Dean Alley; and two brothers, Glen ‘Buss' Gray and Lin ‘Jack' Gray. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 26, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Roller-Daniel Funeral Home with interment following at Romance Cemetery.
