Betty Ladon Gray, 70, of Ravenden died March 1, 2002, at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born April 30, 1931, in Ravenden, she was the daughter of Edward Oswald Justus and Maggie Elizabeth Simpson Justus. She married James Earl Gray. He preceded her in death in 1986. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Ravenden.Survivors include three daughters: Beverly Vandergriff, Joy Junkersfeld and Jackie Yearian, all of Ravenden; three sons: Billy Gray and Eddie Gray, both of Ravenden,and John Gray of Pocahontas; a sister, Opal Sutton of Fairfield, Calif.; a brother, Frank Justus of Texarkana; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Stayton Justus; and a sister, Chloe Perrin. Services were March 5 at First Baptist Church of Ravenden. Burial followed at Dail Cemetery in Ravenden. Arrangements were under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Service of Hardy. Pallbearers were Billy Gray, Michael Dotson, Josh Vandergriff, Justin Gray, Doug Claude and Chad Gray.Honorary pallbearers were Robert Yearian, Kevin Brown and Josh Booth and William Junkersfield.
