Carl F Ward, age 82 of Searcy, went to be with the Lord Sunday, November 4, 2007. He was born January 16, 1925 in Romance, Arkansas to the late James and Roxie Riggins Ward. He was a member of West View Baptist Church, a retired Rural Letter Carrier, and a member of the Rural Letter Carriers Association. He served in the US Army and was a World War II veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Harrel Ward and a sister, Maxine McKay.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Bessie L. Ward of the home; a son, Randy Ward and wife Leah of Rose Bud; a daughter, Angie Wortham and husband Gary of Rose Bud; two sisters, Charlene Bradberry of Searcy and Christine Griffin of Cabot; two grandchildren, Greg Wortham and wife Jennifer, Miranda Ward Armstrong and husband Nick; and two great grandchildren; Amelia Armstrong and Connor Wortham.
