Joan L. Mason Perkins, 75, of Horseshoe Bend passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at her home. She was born January 12, 1932 in San Francisco, California, the daughter of Walter F. Mason and Helen (Leazer) Mason. She retired after 28 years as an independent insurance agent. Joan was a member of the International Ministerial Association (IMA) and was of the apostolic faith. She was a graduate of the Bethany Bible School. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Ernest H. Perkins, Sr. whom she married on September 4, 1959. Her sons, Ernest H. Perkins, Jr. of El Dorado, California and Marvin Perkins of Japan also survive her. She is also survived by a granddaughter, Korina Perkins of Arcada, California. Other survivors include a cousin, Joyce Straub of California. Private graveside services will be held with a memorial service to be held at a later date. Interment will be at Roberts Cemetery
