Mrs. Virginia H. Caroll of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2003, at her home. Born in Statesboro, Georgia, on July 11, 1934, Mrs. Caroll was 69 years of age. She was the daughter of the late William Brinson and Eline (Oliff) Hurst. Mrs. Caroll had lived at Walnut Ridge for ten years, and she was a former resident of the Quitman area. She was a retired operator for Southern Bell Telephone in Jacksonville, Florida. Mrs. Caroll was a member of the DAV Auxiliary. She loved bowling, bingo, reading, puzzles, and helping people. Her religious belief was Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Caroll, who passed away in 1986. Mrs. Caroll was also preceded in death by one brother, Bennie Hurst, and one sister, Nita Rigby. Survivors include three stepsons, Richard Caroll of California Robin Caroll and Joseph Caroll, both of Boston, Massachusetts two stepdaughters, Guyina Spradley of Stringer, Mississippi and Diane Gilmore of Boston, Massachusetts and three sisters, Luree Newton, Judy Wilkes, and Wilhelima Howell, all of Florida and five stepgrandchildren. Mrs. Caroll is also survived by other relatives and her many friends
