Betty Jo Pope Lewis 65 of Quitman passed away May 12, 2006. She was born April 3, 1941 in Haworth, Okla. to the late Thomas Sunday Pope and Gracie Cornelia Jones Pope. She was a homemaker and a member of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Walter Lewis; three sons, Larry Lewis of Plano, Texas, Gary Lewis and wife Connie, of Quitman and Walter R. Lewis Jr. and wife Cindy of Quitman; brother, Thomas Howard Pope of Orosa, Calif.; half-brother, Virgil W. Crawford of Lakeview, Ore.; half-sister, Georgia Winer of Lagrand, Ore.; and four grandchildren, Christopher Lee Lewis of Ladson, S.C., Krystal Lewis, Rachel Lewis and Michael Lewis all of Quitman.
She was preceded in death by two half-sisters and two half-brothers.
